People behind the work

Storytelling, education and participation come together around one purpose: making the trades cool again.

Our responsibilities

Nick Kasik

Creator, Working Class

Nick Kasik created Working Class to elevate skilled trades and vocational careers. His initiative includes the Working Class television show, the book Making the Trades Cool Again and outreach to educators and community leaders.

Program leadership

Outreach and partnerships

Our program leadership connects the Working Class message to school and community conversations. The work brings audience needs, practitioner participation and responsible follow-up into one plan.

Learning and content

Education and storytelling

The learning and content team connects trade stories to the questions students and families ask. They shape discussion around the show, the book and the decisions involved in considering vocational routes.

People and participation

Team development and careers

Our people lead coordinates conversations with colleagues who want to contribute to the mission. This function connects career interests, program responsibilities and the support people need to do the work well.
